... oh.. phil? traco power supplies.... they're shit-for-brains if the power draw is erratic in any way. they go AWOL, and can spike well above the rated 5V. if however you're not doing anything weird down-stream, i.e. the power's clean, then you should be fine with the traco. if you're really concerned about that then get an R.F. choke and put it inline on the 5V rail. l.
