Yes, I have committed such a change, and I have been able to do a full
installation that way. The daily image that will be generated in a few
hours should have the fix, I will test it when available.

Unfortunately the vexpress board doesn't have PCI/PCIE support so the
standard virtio doesn't work there. People are working on virtio-mmio,
but it seems to be something difficult to get working correctly.
