Without the serial console output, it will be difficult to guess what
happened...
Perhaps something is written in the log files (/var/log/kernel.log) on your
disk?
I'm sure someone will be interesting in knowing why it has failed, but let's
try to recover a working system... (assume all necessary files are still on
your hard drive)
* setup a tftp server
* the old kernel (and it's initrd) is probably still in the /boot directory,
copy them to your tftp served directory
* telnet to your n2100 redboot, and follow these instructions, replacing the
zImage and ramdisk.arm by yours:

If your system boot, we've almost win, your system is up and running, but
you still have to flash (a known working) kernel.
