Hello *,
Today morning I have gotten the next Evaluation kit from Freescale. It
is based on the i.MX31 and realy nice. Most things are working from
scratch if one respect (strictly) the instructions HOW to get Linux
running from a CF Card... It took me nearly 3 hours (my fault) to get
Debian ARM (the base install) installed...
But since the Kit does not have Ethernet I am running into trouble with
testing and adding Debian packages...
Does anyone have the Evaluation Kit?
And last not least, my Freescale Reseller has not respond to my
question, but does someone of you know, when the i.MX37 Evaluation Kit
will be available? It hast a better LVDS controller (1024x768) and
Ethernet.
Oh yes, currently I have NO Display attached to the i.MX31 EVKIT but
like to buy on 8" to build a A5 HandBag-TablePC and a 14" for the Proto-
type of a Industrial TablePC. But currently found no reseller with an
acceptable price. <http://www.msc-ge.com/> want 350€ for a 12" which
is definitivly a little bit too expensive. Any suggestions?
Oh, before I forget, does someone know, HOW the get the ATA-6 Interface
running? It is NOT showing up.
And is it right, if I bootstrap Debian ARM on another computer to the
2"5 rive and attach the drive to the i.MX37 that the integrated Boot-
loader will find the Kernel to boot up?
Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
