OK, my take on this list:

The CATS is a StrongARM machine (IIRC) and won't run the EABI port.

I suppose this is no longer in sid.
E: Unable to find a source package for libdns21

klibc hasn't been ported over to armel yet:
make -f /root/klibc-1.4.34/scripts/Kbuild.klibc obj=klcc
/root/klibc-1.4.34/scripts/Kbuild.klibc:79: usr/klibc/arch/armel/MCONFIG: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `usr/klibc/arch/armel/MCONFIG'. Stop.

libssp (built by gcc-4.1) doesn't work for EABI yet.

linux-image-2.6.18-4-ixp4xx is in the pool.

There's about 14000 packages in the unofficial armel repository, while
there'a currently 18499 in the official arm repository. This difference
is due to 1933 currently not-yet-built-for-armel source packages.
Most of the missing stuff is probably because of java crap and fortran
crap.
