There is other issues than Mhz to consider, such as memory
bandwidth and cache sizes. Both which Arm cores usually have
much less than their x86 cores.

You can get a 266Mhz arm system, the Linksys NSLU2 [1], from your 
nearest IT store with ~75eur.
