error with make menuconfig

Hi, I've tried to recompile the kernel 2.4.21, I've downloaded the
kernel source and when I use 'make menuconfig' it return me this error

Q> scripts/Menuconfig: line 832: MCmenu0: command not found

I don't know what I've to do.
