I have try to use /etc/inid.d/apache2 restart

The command shell is quick to execute the STOP command. It is very
slow during the start session. I have not error messages.

I am sure that apache does not run because when I try to connect to
localhost with firefox I got a timeout.

Moreover, it is strange that the log files are empty!

I have try to uninstall completely apache2 using synaptic. After the
unistallation I deleted the /etc/apache2 directory.

I have installed again apache2 (without delete the apt cache) and I
have encountered again the previous problem!

do you think that it is important try to execute directly "apachectl
start"?
