Package: apache Version: 1.3.34-2 Severity: normal Hello I tried to install for example wordpress (either using the debian package or download it by myself). The issue is whenever I should open say the file install.php then in mozilla the following message pops up the file install.php is of type application/x-php (php script) and mozilla does not know what to do about it.... So it seems that the php4 module is not loaded, but I don't understand why libapache-mod-php4 and all the php4 packages are installed. The php4.load file in /etc/apache/modules.conf contains LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so And this lib exists. So I don't know. Shall I submit any other script? Thanks Uwe Brauer Ps the same happens with apache 2 for which I sent a separate report. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-486 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages apache depends on: ii apache-common 1.3.34-2 support files for all Apache webse ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.2 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdb4.3 4.3.29-4.1 Berkeley v4.3 Database Libraries [ ii libexpat1 1.95.8-3.2 XML parsing C library - runtime li ii libmagic1 4.17-2 File type determination library us ii logrotate 3.7.1-3 Log rotation utility ii lsb-base 3.1-10 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii mime-support 3.36-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap ii perl 5.8.8-4 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction apache recommends no packages. -- debconf information: apache/server-name: localhost apache/document-root: /var/www apache/server-port: 80 apache/enable-suexec: false apache/init: true apache/server-admin: webmaster@localhostAttachment: pgpn_0uWMgESI.pgp

Version: 1.3.34-4.1+rm You filled the bug http://bugs.debian.org/380653 in Debian BTS against the package apache. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will remain open for older distributions. For more information about this package's removal, read http://bugs.debian.org/418266. That bug might give the reasons why this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements. Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question. Thank you for your contribution to Debian. -- Marco Rodrigues
