It looks like a mysql or php problem. It could be related to the 
change to libmysqlclient_r in php, but I think a problem with the 
beta mysql is more likely.

This version is no longer in exerimental. Actually, I am not sure if 
using libmysqlclient15 with mysql-server 5.1.24 is a supported 
configuration.

If you have time, I would be interested if the problem appears also

- with libapache2-mod-php5 5.2.5-3 from testing
- with the libmysqlclient15off 5.0.51a-6 from sid (but beware that you 
can't download 5.1.19beta-1 anymore)
