Package: apache2-common
Version: 2.0.51-2
Severity: important

The upgrade mentioned changes in default.conf, which I allowed it to
make. However, only after a (cronned) restart of Apache somewhere during
the night, it turned out that the changes prompted Apache to show the
default (welcome, Apache works) page for *every* vhost on the machine.
Ouch.

Of course, I should've checked more closely, but still... If Apache had
been restarted after the change, I would've know right away. Besides,
changes in the .conf files require a restart anyway.

apache2 is stopped in the pre-removal stage, and started in the
post-installation stage. Since conffile replacement happens before the
postinst is run, I can see no reason for this bug occurring, and given
my complete inability to reproduce a situation where this can occur, I'm
closing it.
