Hi !

 I had thy web server on my machine, but yesterday I need to install apache on it; the thy server 
was not removed doing apt-get install apache. My machine is up to date to sarge.

 anything else ?

This isn't an apache bug. You are allowed to install more than one web
server on your machine listening on different ports.

It is up to you to remove or add packages or configure them properly.
