Bug#244897: Broken Debian httpd/APR packaging
I hear you have now reverted the changes.
This problem has been solved properly for APR 1.0/httpd 2.2, without
using -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 and breaking the world, so please just be
patient and wait for these to become stable releases (or if you are
impatient, start contributing upstream).
w.r.t a couple of the Debian bugs:
#256178 - this is in fact fixed out of the box in 2.0.50, since 2.0.50
does use O_LARGEFILE for log files.
#264645 - there's a simple workaround for the issue in HEAD:
http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/httpd-2.0/modules/generators/mod_autoindex.c?r1=1.132&r2=1.133

joe
