Has anyone been stupid enough to suggest shipping apache with vhost_alias enabled by default with a : VirtualDocumentRoot /web/%0 This would replace /var/www which I surprisingly did not find in the fhs. :) Rationale for this change is: * Vhost alias is very typical * This would imo [1] help Debian package Web applications and make Debian a more attractive Web application platform Right now a prohibitive debconf question is required to include configuration into httpd.conf when it could be contained in the respective Web application packages.
