Apache / mod_perl problem

Hi,

I don't know if this problem has been posted or not, by a fast diagonal
read of the archive of this list did not render succesful results ;-)

I upgraded my machine this morning (it's on unstable) and BAM, no more
perl workie workie. 
Well, awstats complains about the following:
[Mon May 24 10:29:22 2004] [error] Can't load module Socket, dynamic
loading not available in this perl.\n  (You may need to build a new perl
executable which either supports\n  dynamic loading or has the Socket
module statically linked into it.)\n at /usr/lib/cgi-bin/awstats.pl line
17\nCompilation failed in require at /usr/lib/cgi-bin/awstats.pl line
17.\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/cgi-bin/awstats.pl
line 17.\n

and my perl scripts send their output to the error_log, they were
working fine yesterday.

Can someone tell me what's changed? And maybe what i need to change? Or
just point me to an url or something...
