Ehm, ia64 is little-endian. Woody doesn't have 64-bit sparc or powerpc
userland. Neither does sarge, actually. Seems like this would be a
useful table if it were finished ...

name	kernel	debian	endian	char
alpha	64	64	little	signed
amd64	64	-	little	signed
arm	32	32	little	unsigned
cris	32	-	little
h8300	32	-	big
i386	32	32	little	signed
ia64	64	64	little	signed
m68k	32	32	big	signed
mips	32	32	big	unsigned
mipsle	32	32	little	unsigned
mips64	64	32	big	unsigned
parisc	32	32	big
pa64	64	32	big
ppc	32	32	big	unsigned
ppc64	64	32	big	unsigned
s390	32	32	big
s390x	64	32	big
sh	32	-	little
shbe	32	-	big
sparc	32	32	big	signed
sparc64	64	32	big	signed
v850	32	-	little
vax	32	-

hrm. I didn't realise ia64 and alpha were the only two 64-bit arches
that shipped with woody.
