Bug#248659: apache2-mpm-worker: error writing log files
Package: apache2-mpm-worker
Version: 2.0.49-1
Severity: normal
I have a strange error since a few days: Apache2 only writes to logfiles with the name "$filename.log.1" and not "$filename.log" (these are now null byte files)
This results in empty stats with Awstats (well, or is this an error of logrotate or awstats?)
Example listing:
$ ls -l /var/log/apache2/www.alternativ.net.log*
-rw-r----- 1 root adm 0 2004-05-09 06:49 /var/log/apache2/www.alternativ.net.log
-rw-r----- 1 root adm 6118076 2004-05-12 18:46 /var/log/apache2/www.alternativ.net.log.1
