After my last upgrade, .htpasswd's stopped working. Apache (non-ssl) seems
to work ok, but the SSL variant doesn't.

The error.log shows:

[Mon Apr 26 11:19:44 2004] [error] [client 217.166.79.174] user  not found:
/members/

Notice the two spaces after "user".

No problem. I already added more notes to README.Debian for users that
have higly customized configurations. I noticed that there was only a note
in the Changelog from upstream but it is not that easy to spot.
