Version: N/A; reported 2002-08-30
Severity: normal

Hello,

Apache doesn't start anymore if we use the module Eaccess outside the Virtualhost Directive but directly in the server config context.
(It does work when setup in the VirtualHost Directive)

We have the following error in the Apache Error log:
[Fri Aug 30 10:56:26 2002] [error] (22)Invalid argument: EAccess: could not create EAccessCache file '/var/log/apache/eaccess_auth.log'

But if we replace the module with the one from Sid (/usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_eaccess.so) , it works perfectly.

Here is my configuration :
EAccessEnable on
EAccessCache /var/log/apache/eaccess_auth.log
EAccessLogLevel 0
EAccessRule deny "^GET.*/cmd.exe"
EAccessRule permit "^GET /.*$"

Sam.

Hi,
well as far as i can see the bug was fixed using an updated version of
mod_eaccess as you wrote yourself. So i am considering this bug "closed".
Since the version you are using is missing (and i can just guess it is
from woody) there is nothing that we can do to push a fix for it.

Thanks
Fabio
