/srv is a *very* good idea - it fixes a huge hole in the current LSB. Daniel
Stone and I were trying to find a reasonable solution for this when
implementing virtual hosting for apache2's packages, but every way we came
up with for doing it violated the FHS to some degree or another.
I think /srv is an excellent proposal and should be taken up ASAP.
