Package: apache
Version: 1.3.9-13.1
Severity: minor

I'm embarrassed to report this as a bug but it took a bunch of time to search
and find this on the web. I couldn't find the information to make php4 work
with this version of apache anywhere in the accompanying apache docs.

The srm.conf that came with this package has this:
# For example, the PHP3 module (a separate Debian package)
# will typically use:
#AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .phtml
#AddType application/x-httpd-php3-source .phps

Obviously, these didn't work and I tried various derivatives of them. Here's
what worked for php4:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

I recommend you add these lines to the distributed srm.conf

And for the PHP4 module (also a separate Debian package)
# AddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 2.2r2, kernel 2.2.17.

I am closing this bug since as already reported the lines are in the
default config file (httpd.conf now) and they are commented by default
since apache 1.3.22-5

Fabio
