I found from some web pages I Googled that the monitor runs at 1440 x 900 at either 60 or 75 Hz refresh rate.

I used the advanced option in the video mode I put the horizontal range to 61 - 75Hz to force it to go to the 75Hz option (following another googled hint I found on a web page somewhere).

The screen looks much the same and is not really A1 but I can use it.

The old SIS graphics card in here doesn't seem to know what 1440 x 900 resolution is.

Perhaps this is a fundamental limitation here and the monitor cannot be driven any better than this.

I will try with the other AMD64 machine I have.  This one has an Nvidia card in it......  Maybe this will make a difference.
