eh ? no such package : glibc 

Try libc6 and the following :

# apt-get update
# apt-get install libc6

Should do the trick

Just before the install proper, apt will display some info and usually ask for confirmation.
Although it's usualy OK, I recommand you read what apt is about to do and think before 
you press the 'Y'es.
