What isn't working?

Your window manager is managed either by your display manager (which
handles the graphical login) or by your .xsession file.

What does glxinfo say on that setup by the way (I have never tried doing
3D support on an intel graphics device before).  Do you have the
libgl1-mesa-dri package installed (which provides the DRI component for
X for a bunch of video chips)?
