printing problem (etch/cups/hp)...

Hi,

I have two distros on my PC, i686 and x86_64, which are configured exactly the
same way (same (own built) kernel, same deb packages etc).

I use an HP 1320 on usb port, and cups 1.2.5 on these two distros.

On my etch i686, cups works fine.

But I can't print anything on my x86_64 linuxbox.

I have checked some stuff:

 - cupsd is running and listening on port 631;
 - nothing special in /var/log/cups/;
 - cat foo.ps > /dev/usb/lp0 works fine too.

But when I want to print a page test under cups webadmin page, I get the
following message: "Printer not connected; will retry in 30 seconds..."

lpq shows the queued job, but nothing is printed.

Any suggestion are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Fred.
