#apt-get install linux-image-2.6-amd6a-k8-smp
OK, only reported that source packages "couldn't start"

$uname -a
Linux debian 2.6.15-1-amd64-k8-smp #2 SMP Mon Mar 20 11:41:50 UTC 2006
x86_64 GNU/Linux

Therefore, the story is ended thanks to your advice. It was clean, 
simplifying, great advice.
