Re: i686 to amd64



Thanks all, i installed the new amd64 using netinstall cd.
Though it's not easy, as my modem was not working with this new system. Then i use the ppp setting from my previous system using chroot. :)
So, now i am with you with kernel 2.6.15-1-em64t-p4-smp  :)

I bet you didn't first install and boot a 64bit kernel. Bootstraping
will run some commands in the new system it creates and you can only
run amd64 binaries with a 64bit kernel. There is a 2.6.8 amd64 kernel
in sarge.
