My results:

/sbin/grub: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.0, statically linked, stripped
(Interesting, since this IS my amd64 system.)

[7:31pm] hamish@noddy:~/projects/geocaching> ldd /sbin/grub
        not a dynamic executable
[7:31pm] hamish@noddy:~/projects/geocaching> ls -l /sbin/grub
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 554444 2006-02-16 10:48 /sbin/grub
