Thanks Jo, that is some impressive scripting. Using that, I was able to install Intel Fortan to /usr/local/stow/ifort. However I still cannot run it. # /usr/local/stow/ifortran/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifort/usr/local/stow/ifortran/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifort: line 33: /usr/local/stow/ifortran/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifortbin: cannot execute binary file /usr/local/stow/ifortran/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifort: line 33: /usr/local/stow/ifortran/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifortbin: Success
An strace dug up this:execve("/usr/local/stow/ifortran/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifortbin", ["/usr/local/stow/ifortran/intel/f"..., "2"], [/* 18 vars */]) = -1 ENOEXEC (Exec format error)
