install error

Hi All,

I am installing Debian AMD64 on a dual Opteron tyan K8w motherboard and 
I am having a problem with apt-get failing to stat the source package 
list. Its acting like the file isn't there. there is a release file and 
its 160187 bytes long, that seems small compared to the download size.  
Is there something I need to do?
