chroot, openoffice
Hello people,
I am obviously running debian on an athlon 64 3000+ machine.
I would like to get openoffice running on that machine,
and I found two sources which describe the same way to do it:
chrooting.
However, I do not succeed debootstrapping either sid nor sarge.
In either case, debootstrapping fails to download
libsigc++-1.2-5c102 and slang1a-utf8, and I circumvent the problem
with --exclude=libsigc++-1.2-5c102,slang1a-utf8.
Then, seemingly, the debootstrapping succeeds in both cases.
However, after this step, I am stuck.
I can chroot to the new environment, but running
apt-get install libx11-6
(as suggested in
https://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.php/30192/21/debian-amd64-howto.html#id271960)
results into
apt-get: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
No idea how to continue from here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
