AMD64 / Debian / Sound
Hi Guys.
I'm trying to get the sound working on my new Debian64 install.
The mainboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 using the nForce4 chipset.
The user manual lists the sound as ALC850 CODEC
The mainboard BIOS lists it as AC97.
Now, Debian no longer includes sndconfig in sarge or sid, so I'm SOL
there.
I used modconf to try and load the AC97 driver. Modconf appeared to
load it OK, but I still have no sound.
Everything else is working fine.
I've included the output of lsmod to the end of this post.
Any ideas?
