Sorry, of course I don't want to be rude. English is not my
mother language, so sometimes I don't find the right words.
Please accept my apologies.

| Andreas was simply saying to add the official source
| archive to your sources.list. Then, after apt-getting the source package,
| check to see if there is a patch available for the gcc-3.4 branch. If there
| is, then apply that patch before building.

I have expected some source packages _including_ the patch
specific for amd64 (gcc-3.4) on Alioth. IMU sources.list
for amd64(gcc-3.4) should be:

deb http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/gcc-3.4 unstable main
deb-src http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/gcc-3.4 unstable main
deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian unstable main

i.e. all binaries for amd64 are on Alioth, but most of the
sources are in the official pool. Only some source packages
with patches especially for amd64(gcc-3.4) can be found on
Alioth, too.
