Printing Problems

Update:     I have reinstalled Debian and the insillation was flawless.  
Unfortunitly I still can't print. 
  
   Beyond the normal Desktop Workstation Insallation, I installed:
     x-window-system
     kde
     kpm
     cupsys
     libcupsys2
     cupsys-client
     cupsys-bsd 
     cupsomatic-ppd
     cupsys-driver-gimpprint


   Can anyone see if I have missed a package that need to print? 


  Any help would be appretiated, I'm sunk whthout a printer.
