Installation problem with tyan mainboard

I cannot install debian-amd64 on my Tyan based machine.
This problem looks like a previous one, posted here some weeks ago.

PROBLEM: instalation "freeze" after loading the scsi driver.

BUT: actually, I have succeded one installation (3 weeks ago); after upgrading the system (and the kernel) some days ago, I could not reboot. So, I decided to reinstall...When the system whas working (before I upgraded
it), it was also difficult to reboot the machine, with a lot of "retry"
of the scsi driver during the boot sequence.

MATERIAL: Tyan S4882 with 4 processors, Bradcom NetxTrem network adapter, NCR-like scsi controller; 8 Gb of ram, 2 scsi (73gb) discs.

DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION SEQUENCE:

 - I use: "sid-amd64-netinst.iso 26-Oct-2004 05:56"

 - boot options:
           expert sym53c8xx=safe:y

 1) after the 1rst detection of material, I load only:
     tg3, generic-ide, ide-generic, ide-cd, isofs;
then I can configure the network (static adress, not dhcp), and it
    works.
 2) I choose the mirror:
   debian.inode.at and /pure64/
   unstable distribution
 4) I load mptscsih ....

 and here, the machine freezes.

any idea ?
