Help with NVidia/OpenGL

Hi,

I just installed the amd64 port of Debian Linux on my desktop.  It has an
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ (2.2 GHz), NVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 MB, and 512 MB
PC3200 RAM.

Although I have the NVidia driver working and the OpenGL libraries
installed, some OpenGL applications don't seem to work, but some do.  In
particular, many that use glut and SDL don't work as well.

For example, the 'chromium' game works, but for the first 10 seconds or
so, it stutters.  The 3ddesktop works fine.  I was wondering if other
people were having similar OpenGL oddities with this distro?
