Check if you have mousedev and psmouse modules loaded.
Same problem here. But i start my box in runlevel 2 an I start X manualy with 'startx'. I have to 'startx' twice to geht X up. Errormessae after the first 'startx' is the same as Andree already described.
mousedev and psmouse are both loaded... Any Ideas? Regards, Michael
