I have a version of mozilla-1.7 working, compiled with g++ 3.4.1 and -O2 and -fno-strict-aliasing. You can find it on http://anders.fugmann.net/amd64/mozilla.

Unless I'm missing something, those packages depend on things that are neither in that directory nor available on alioth:

$ sudo dpkg -i mozilla-browser_1.7-5_amd64.deb
Password:
Selecting previously deselected package mozilla-browser.

You can find the missing files in 'experimental' on Alioth:

http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/pure64/pool/experimental/main/amd64/g/gcc-3.4/

I just installed Firefox 0.9.1 and Thunderbird 0.7.1 (which are available here as well) after installing

gcc-3.4-base
libgcc1_3.4
libstdc++6_3.4

Works perfectly now, thanks a lot to those having done the recompile.
