Isapnptools is needed only for a system that has older, ISA
"plug-and-play" cards. Isn't the AMD64 a newer chip that would only
appear in a PCI system?
Moreover, ISA pnp can be handled directly by a kernel module in kernel
2.3 and later.
If the package is deemed useful for AMD64: do you know whether it
compiles on amd64? In order to check, I logged in to
pergolesi.debian.org. Obviously, I need to build it in the sid
chroot, but which to choose? There are three:
Available chroots: sid_i386 sid_amd64_pure sid ...
I tried the last two, with no success:
