Older Athlon64 FX were S940 like Opteron, so they use the same
motherboards, at least afaik. The new Athlon64 FX chips are going to be
on S939 which is shared with regular Athlon64. S754 will be around for
a while since Sempron (AthlonXP) is being migrated to it.
