As a followup to my former mail If I try to build ntop from the sources against the libpcap0.7-dev I get the same error. /usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/libpcap.a(pcap-linux.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC How should I build ntop??
