Well it did take some effort but I got the nVidia AMD64 drivers
(NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-5332-pkg0.run) from minion
(http://www.sh.nu/download/nvidia/linux-2.6/) working on a 2.6.6 kernel.

To get it working I compiled my own 2.6.6-4 kernel and after installing
the nVidia drivers I had to relink the libGL (the installer tell's/log's
how to do this).
It's quite stable I've been running UT2004 for some time now (about
40-60 fps average :). 

Spec's: ASUS K8V SE Deluxe, AMD64 3200+, 1Gbyte, nVidia FX5700 256MB,
Debian AMD64 development from Alioth, kernel-source 2.6.6-4, (fluxbox
desktop).
