nVidia drivers for amd64 [repost]

I have a nVidia GeForce FX5700 card. I wanted to know if anybody got the
nvidia drivers working for it in 2.6 kernel. I had earlier tried to do
it but my computer would just freeze. I used the patched driver from
http://minion.de/nvidia.html

I am interested in using the twin view capability of these cards. I dont
think I can do that using the vesa drivers that I am currently using. I
would like to use 1600x1200 resolution as well. Currently I am using
1280x1024.
