Do do not think so, because Athlon 64(FX) suport it too.

I think, "amd64" is the right architektue name like "ia64" for the 
Intel which mean "Intel Architecture 64 Bit".

OK, x86_64 is acceptable too, because Athlon64(FX) and Opteron support 
32 Bit too.
