I have now. I applied the x86_64-2.6.1-2.bz2 patch to the 2.6.1
sources and rebuilt and installed, but the behavior remains the same.

I'm getting a lot of errors that seem to be related to signal handling???
I'm guessing here.

Many of the scripts in /etc/init.d/ print out

INIT: error reading initrequest

when invoked, and many shell scripts seem to have errors which occur
only sometimes.

Everything is happy as a clam with the 32-bit kernel. Weird.

Any thoughts?

I can send my kernel .config if that would help.

Eric
