I found that I couldn't create a RAID or LVM set. The original plan was to have root+LVM+RAID5, which certainly works on i386 and amd64, but the functionality appears to be missing from the alpha installer. We also found that the 2.6 kernel wouldn't boot on these Alphas (UP2000, dual procssor something-or-other, SCSI, blah). It panic'ed trying to load one of the SCSI modules. Unfortunately I don't think anyone got further with investigating the problem or even filed a bug report :-/ Cameron
