I have PWS433au with "QLogic Corp. ISP1020 Fast-wide SCSI (rev 05)" and 
"Digital Equipment Corporation DECchip 21142/43 (rev 11)" working ok 
with stock 2.6.5 (no modules). Base system is Woody, though I had to 
upgrade GCC in order to compile 2.6.5.

I understand that there might be reasons to stick with 2.4 but the 
config is here if someone is interested:
