No :/ I have been peeking and poking the *BSD-side too, but neither of
those doesn't boot.

I am (still) not too familiar about the differences between actuall
8400 and upgraded one (GS140). At least for now Tru64 have been only OS
that has booted succesfully and that is far from 'my choice for OS'
regardless that it might be the best OS for some and at least for this
hardware (then someone from the back row yells - NO! It't OpenVMS :)

Thank you anyway all who has responded and made some suggestion.
I'll keep digging.
