All the alphaservers we have here at work (running Tru64 aka. Digital
Unix) do indeed have temperature monitoring, and do power themselves
down when the temperature get too high. (In fact, the airco in our local
server room broke down over the weekend and one alphaserver shutdown and
rebooted itself 72 times before someone managed to open a window. :-)

We do have one AS800 running Debian here, but I haven't been able to
find out yet how to read out the temperature under Linux.

Cheers,
Sander
