I know the acceptable tempurature for an intel-like chip is around 40C.
Perhaps It's different for alpha?
Not sure what is considered "acceptable" temp. on an Alpha, but there is no
way on a Miata box to monitor it. There's simply no sensors built into the
system.
The only systems that I'm aware of are UP1000,UP2000/+,& CS20, but you need
to use a special app called hwmon (available from
http://alo.alphadriven.org/firmware/api/CS20/hwmon-1.0.3.tar.gz)
